“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3–4).
That time is here. The Presbyterian Church (USA) is a prime example. Rather than sticking to God’s Word, they have adopted and celebrated practices that clearly go against it. PC(USA) ordains women pastors (contrary to 1 Timothy 2:12 and 1 Corinthians 14:34). They solemnize same-sex “marriages” even though the Bible says a man and a woman join together to become one flesh (Genesis 2: 24) and it is a sin for a man to have sex with another man (Romans 1:26–27, 1 Corinthians 6:9–10). PC(USA) views the Bible as something that can be molded by culture, when Scripture says “All scripture is given by inspiration of God” (2 Timothy 3: 16) and “For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).
But the real problem with twisting the Bible to match culture is that it cannot save a single person. You can hear teachers who say what you want to hear, but they cannot rescue your soul from God’s judgment. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35). God’s Word will not fade away, but the very real realities of sin, death, and judgment in the next verse still apply: “Let him that readeth understand” (24:36).
We are all sinners (Romans 3:23). The penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23). No amount of church membership, social media approval, or token religious rituals will cancel that. But God has provided one way of salvation: His Son Jesus Christ. “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 Timothy 1:15). He died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). Only His precious blood can cleanse you (Revelation 1:5).
If you place your trust in Him, He promises to save you: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9). Salvation is not by works, but by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9). When you repent and believe, God gives you a new heart, His Spirit, and eternal life.
This is why we cannot sit under churches that teach lies. A false gospel is no gospel at all. It cannot save. Jesus said, “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). The truth is found in Him alone.
If you are in a church that spits in the face of God’s Word and makes sin acceptable, leave that church and run to Christ. Do not settle for fables, do not settle for teachers who tickle your ears. Eternity is at stake. Turn to Jesus Christ, the only Savior, and be saved today.
A Final Word to You
You now face a decision. You can either continue to go to church and get religious and cling to the things that make you comfortable, or you can turn to the Savior who alone can set you free. “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Tomorrow is not guaranteed. You need Christ today.
Cry out to Him, confess your sin, believe in His name, and He will forgive you and make you new. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). Do not go the way of the lost. Do not let the culture’s lies lead you to Hell. Turn to Jesus, and live.

The Presbyterian Church (USA)
Presbyterian Church (USA) Seminaries Louisville KY
- PCUSA’s Doctrinal Stance
The seminary is under the umbrella of the Presbyterian Church (USA), which has long since departed from biblical Christianity. The PCUSA openly denies or compromises on clear biblical truths. For example:
They ordain practicing homosexuals and women as pastors, despite the Bible’s direct teaching (1 Timothy 3:2, Titus 1:6).
They reinterpret or reject the authority of Scripture, allowing culture and social agendas to define doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3–4).
They often deny the exclusivity of salvation in Christ alone (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).
- Seminary Curriculum
Looking at Louisville Seminary’s offerings, much of it focuses on social justice, interfaith dialogue, and therapy rather than grounding students in the whole counsel of God’s Word. While they may use the Bible in courses, it is not taught as the inerrant, authoritative Word of God but as a text subject to modern reinterpretation. That is not biblical Christianity (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
- True Biblical Standard
Biblical Christianity teaches that Scripture alone is the final authority (Isaiah 8:20, 2 Peter 1:19–21). Any school or church that denies this is not faithfully teaching the gospel. Paul warned, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8).
Conclusion:
Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary does not teach biblical Christianity. It promotes PCUSA theology, which has compromised truth for cultural acceptance. A true biblical seminary will faithfully teach the Word of God as inerrant, exalt Christ alone as Savior, and equip ministers to preach repentance and faith in Him (Acts 20:27).
When Churches Trade Truth for Culture
The Bible warns us that in the last days many will not endure sound doctrine. Instead, they will seek out teachers who tell them exactly what they want to hear. Paul gave this warning with sobering clarity:
2 Timothy 4:3–4
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears, and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
That prophecy is not a distant future event—it is here, and we see it playing out before our eyes. Entire denominations that once stood on the truth of Scripture have now traded it for the applause of the world.
Redefining Leadership
One of the first signs of compromise is the rejection of God’s order. In many churches today, women are placed into pastoral authority, even though the Word of God says plainly:
1 Timothy 2:12 – “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”
1 Corinthians 14:34 – “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak…”
Women are not lesser in God’s eyes—they are equally valued and gifted—but Scripture never permits them to serve as pastors over men. When a church disregards this, it is not listening to God, but to culture.
Redefining Marriage
The same error shows up in how some churches now bless same-sex marriage. God’s design has never changed:
Genesis 2:24 – “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.”
Romans 1:26–27 – “…men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”
Marriage is between one man and one woman. To redefine it is to rebel against the Creator.
Redefining the Bible
The most dangerous compromise of all is when churches stop treating the Bible as the final authority. Instead of standing firm, they reinterpret it through the lens of modern opinion. But the Word of God says:
2 Timothy 3:16–17 – “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
Psalm 119:89 – “For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”
When a church stands above Scripture instead of under it, it ceases to be the church of Jesus Christ.
A Wake-Up Call
This is more than a denominational issue—it is a picture of the wider apostasy that Scripture warns about. Many churches today have become places that soothe rather than save, that entertain rather than convict, and that conform to culture rather than stand against it.
Jesus said:
Matthew 24:35 – “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
His Word is eternal. It does not bend with time or shift with public opinion.
If you find yourself in a church that rejects the authority of Scripture and embraces sin, you must recognize that it is no longer a faithful church. Salvation is not found in a denomination, a ritual, or a building, it is found in Christ alone. And those who belong to Him must cling to His Word, even if it means walking away from a place that has abandoned it.
Now is the time to decide: will you follow culture, or will you follow Christ?
